Brief Description: Squared-up sketch of Freeman Sanders who was an outstanding British diesel engineer. Sanders had introduced an improved combustion chamber in 1935, which gave a smoother running engine and cleaner exhaust. Sanders left Fowlers of Leeds in 1941 and set up his own company in Penzance.
