The Friends is an independent Registered Charity No.1001644 formed in 1987 with the object of supporting Penlee House Gallery and Museum in its cultural and educational activities. The Friends membership is well over 1200, the majority of whom are local, but they also include a significant number of supporters from outside Cornwall and even outside the UK.
