Dress Pin

Incomplete silver gilt dress hook with a tear-shaped backplate and pinked edge, with perforations for sewing to a textile.A hook is soldered on to the backplate, which would have hooked through a corresponding eye on the opposite dress fitting. The raised hollow-caste cushion is decorated with circles of filigree, a filigree heart and fleurettes.
