Digital Marketer Apprentice

Do you have what it takes to become our next Digital Marketer Apprentice?

Do you have an interest in arts or heritage? Are you looking to develop your skills in digital media, earn a wage and get a qualification?

Penlee House Gallery & Museum is an art gallery and museum in Penzance, owned and operated by Penzance Town Council. We have thousands of paintings, historical and archaeological objects. We have five exhibitions a year and we run learning activities for babies, children, young people and adults so that they can feel at home in the gallery and enjoy our artworks and objects. We think our gallery is great, and we want more people to know about us and hopefully to be able to visit us. This is where we need you to help us to get the message out there to local people and visitors alike.

The Apprenticeship is expected to last for 18 months, from mid-May 2019 to mid-November 2020.

We are looking for a candidate to be able to start from mid May 2019.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on 23 April 2019.

Volunteering Opportunities

There are many different ways to get involved with Penlee House's work, and we offer a range of fulfilling opportunities for volunteers at all career stages.

The galleries are invigilated by volunteer Stewards, each covering a half-day shift running either from 10.00 - 1.30 or from 1.30 - 5.00, with a 15 minute break for a complimentary drink and slice of cake. You could volunteer once a week to once a month.  Please contact David Trevivian on 01736 363625 for further details.

We also welcome help with other aspects of our work, including researching and data-inputting information on our collections, assisting with education workshops and a variety of specialist support roles relating to our collections. Please contact us on 01736 363625 or email us at if you feel you have skills to offer and would like to get involved.
