The Orangery Café

During your visit, relax for a while in our delightful licenced café, with its sun-bathed terrace overlooking the park.  

The Orangery is open throughout Penlee House's opening hours for morning coffee, afternoon tea with home-baked cakes and pastries, freshly prepared sandwiches, salads and light lunches.  A table licence enables customers to enjoy a glass of wine with their meal, or perhaps sample a locally-produced beer, cider or fruit juice.

Lunch is served between 12.00 and 3.00 pm.  Daily specials are made on the premises and include fresh, seasonal local ingredients; specials include a soup and a pudding of the day, plus a selection of main meals such as fisherman's pie, open Newlyn crab sandwiches or chicken and chick pea curry.  Sandwiches, toasted paninis and jacket potatoes are always on offer, with fillings such as ham, brie, mango and ginger; goats cheese, chilli jam and rocket; roasted vegetables and philadelphia cheese, or tuna with horseradish mayonnaise and beetroot. 

Group bookings and evening functions can be arranged, but please note the café is both popular and small (seating only 30 indoors), so you are strongly advised to contact the Orangery if you are planning to bring any group of more than six people.
