The Friends are an independent Registered Charity formed in 1987 with the object or supporting Penlee House Gallery and Museum in its cultural and educational activities. The Friends membership is well over 1200, the majority of whom are local, but they also include a significant number of supporters from outside Cornwall and even outside the UK.

Please note: the membership year runs from 1 April: members joining after 1 December in any membership year may either pay half price for the remainder of the year, or pay £18 single or £27 double to take their membership through the following whole year.
