Timeline Banner and Loan Boxes

We have a collection of original artefacts primarily from the Victorian era which are suitable for handling and some of these are available for schools to borrow by arrangement. Just let us know the area of study and the type of material you would like to borrow, but please be aware that it is not possible to borrow everything in our handling collections; because of the fragile nature of some items, they can only be used as part of a supervised handling session at Penlee House. As part of the Lescudjack Hill Fort project, The National Heritage Lottery Fund funded a series of resource boxes pertaining to life in Early Cornwall, which have been deposited at Penlee House for loan to local schools. The resource boxes includes a classroom set of replica Iron Age costumes and many ideas for studying the craft and technology of the time, such as a selection of replica flint tools.
