Two copies of the programme of a special meeting of Penzance Town Council to confer the honourary freedom of the Borough of Penzance on Richard Acutt Courtney Esq., held on Friday 31st March 1933 at 2.45pm. It contains an order of proceedings, written by the Town Clerk, E.W.J. Nicholson, a short biography of Courtney and details of the Roll. The event is to include a reception after the meeting, at Alverne Hall, involving afternoon tea and a programme of music by Walter Barnes and his Trio, all of which is detailed on a separate sheet of paper slotted within the programme. Printed with black ink on a four-page paper booklet, with the Borough of Penzance logo on the front page and an oval image of Richard Acutt Courtney himself.
