West Cornwall Spring Show round plaque, awarded to the best individual cookery entry in the Womens Institution Competition, Section 17 of the West Cornwall Spring Show. Pewter plate inscribed 'WEST CORNWALL SPRING SHOW' at top and 'Cookery' 'Best in Show' in centre. Surrounding the wording are images in relief of bread, milk, flour, jam, fruit etc. Above the word 'Cookery' is a tree motif, incorporating the letters 'WI'. Felt stuck to base.

It presents a number of figures suggesting the government has 'disregarded' public opinion. 'Voice for Cornwall' a non-political group of local people, invite people to attend the meeting to lend their support for the 'wish to challenge the assumption that our voice does not matter'.
