Natural History
Knot
Immature knot, standing on a fake rock. Although occuring in huge winter flocks on large northern and east coast estuaries, it only occurs sparingly in Cornwall.
Lapwing
was originally accessioned as 1975.159. On the bottom left, inside the case, written in pencil are the words 'E. Vingoe, Naturalist'.
Leach's petrel
was originally accessioned as 1975.95. Has label stating naturalist's name and address and another which reads 'Leach's petrel (male symbol), Eastern Beach, Penzance 6th December 1918'.
Little bittern
probably originally had a 1976 prefix. Part of the Antiquarian collection.
