A carte de visite (oval photograph) of John Branwell, eldest son of JR and Elizabeth Branwell, who lived at Penlee House. He went to live at Teignmouth in 1906 after marrying Elizabeth Pollard, the daughter of a Penzance shopkeeper. By this time, his parents had both died and he had little contact with the rest of the family, after falling out with his father over the match. Below left is printed 'Robt. H. Preston' and to the bottom right 'Penzance'. On the reverse the Preston elblem is printed - 'ROBT. H. PRESTON. Photographer TO THE PRINCE AND PRINCESS OF WALES. PENZANCE'
