The item is a handbill poem written by Henry Quick of Zennor on December 1, 1835. It was written for John Verrant of St Hilary, and the first letters of each line spell the man's name. Henry Quick gives details of both his and John Verrant's age, at the time of writing the poem, and he signs his poem in a very identifiable style.
A devotional poem typical of his style, in form of an acrostic. The first letters of each line spell the name of John Verrant for whom the poem was written. An identifying feature is the method of signing.
