The Swallow is a summer visitor, nesting on rafters in barns and outhouses. Normally they have two broods, occasionally three They feed on insects, taken in flight. Once the young have left the nest they make a wonderful sight as they rest on rooftops and wires, the air fill of their constant twittering.
