Spotlight on St. Ives
A National Touring Exhibition organised by the Hayward Gallery on behalf of the Arts Council England. 2006 was the 60th anniversary of the Arts Council Collection, the most exciting collection of post-war and contemporary British art in the world. The Hayward Gallery, which manages the Collection, planned a year-long celebration, which included the touring exhibition Spotlight on St Ives. Penlee House was delighted to be one of the host venues for this exhibition, which included works by Wilhelmina Barns-Graham, Terry Frost, Patrick Hayman, Barbara Hepworth, Patrick Heron, Roger Hilton, Peter Lanyon, John Milne, Alfred Wallis, John Wells, Christopher Wood, and Bryan Wynter.
